Copyright and Content Complaint Policy

Last Updated: August 10, 2026

Atlas Visibility respects intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, and other legal rights. This policy explains how to report content that Atlas hosts, publishes, or controls. It does not provide legal advice or determine the rights of parties in a private dispute.

1. Copyright Notices

A copyright owner or authorized agent may send a written notice to team@atlasvisibility.com with the subject line "Copyright Notice." The notice should include:

  • the claimant's name and contact information
  • identification of the copyrighted work or a representative list of works
  • the exact URL and enough detail for Atlas to locate the challenged material
  • a statement of good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or law
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that the sender is authorized to act
  • the sender's physical or electronic signature

Atlas may request additional information, forward the notice to the affected client or provider, preserve records, and temporarily restrict or remove material while reviewing the notice. A deficient notice may delay review.

2. Counter-Notices

A person who believes material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification may send a counter-notice to the same address with the subject line "Copyright Counter-Notice." It should identify the removed material and prior location, explain the basis for the objection, include contact information and a signature, and contain the statements and consent to jurisdiction required by applicable copyright law.

Atlas may forward a valid counter-notice to the original claimant and may restore material when permitted by law unless Atlas receives timely notice that the claimant has filed an action seeking a court order. Atlas may decline restoration for an independent legal, safety, contractual, or policy reason.

3. Other Content Complaints

Concerns about trademark infringement, passing off, impersonation, defamation, privacy, publicity rights, confidential information, fake testimonials, unlawful synthetic media, or another legal right may be sent to team@atlasvisibility.com with the subject line "Content Complaint." Include:

  • your identity, authority, and contact information
  • the exact URL and the specific words, images, or media at issue
  • the right you believe is affected and the factual basis
  • supporting registrations, records, permissions, or evidence
  • the correction, restriction, or removal requested
  • a statement that the report is accurate and made in good faith

4. Review and Response

Atlas may investigate, request substantiation, consult the affected client or provider, preserve relevant records, add a disclosure, correct material, restrict access, remove material, or decline a request. Atlas may act before completing a review when it reasonably believes prompt action is needed to reduce legal, safety, privacy, security, or deception risk.

Atlas does not promise a particular outcome or response time and is not required to adjudicate a complex private dispute. Atlas may ask the parties to resolve the dispute directly or obtain a court order.

5. Repeat or Serious Violations

Atlas may suspend or terminate a client, user, or service relationship involving repeated infringement, repeated valid complaints, deceptive impersonation, unlawful content, abuse of the complaint process, or a serious violation of the Terms.

6. False or Abusive Notices

A person submitting a notice or counter-notice is responsible for its accuracy and legal basis. Knowingly material misrepresentations, harassment, duplicate demands, or attempts to suppress lawful criticism may create liability and may be rejected or referred to counsel or authorities.

7. Emergency and Legal Process

If content presents an imminent threat, contact the appropriate law enforcement or emergency service before contacting Atlas. Subpoenas, court orders, and other legal process should be sent to team@atlasvisibility.com with the subject line "Legal Process." Atlas may require formal service in the manner required by law.
