NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

My name is Robbie, and I have the honor of being a founder here at Atlas.

Even though we haven't met, I know that the words at the top of this page are about you.

It's why every local business leader gladly trades a 40-hour-a-week job to run a business that takes 80 hours a week... because entrepreneurs are one of those rare breeds who genuinely want something for others, more than they want something from others.

For me, it started with my granddad, Daddy Bob.

Because of him, I've spent my entire life with a front-row seat to the grit and goodness that local business brings to the world.

Shoveling "snow" with Daddy Bob.

Doing my best to follow in his footsteps, I started my first business in high school (a buy-and-flip eBay store). I made $40k my first year, which is basically the same as a billion dollars for a high schooler in the '90s.

Needless to say, I was hooked.

Later, I spent a decade serving on Dave Ramsey's leadership team, then founded a full-service agency that helped local business owners launch locations all across the nation.

Through all of it, I learned the same simple truth that you have:

It's really hard to serve people if they've never heard of you or can't find you.

Please pardon my language, but as a longtime entrepreneur, it's really hard to watch so many local businesses get screwed by a change they never saw coming.

For over 20 years, it’s been really simple to be found online by potential customers. That’s why it should be great news that more people than ever are using Google and ChatGPT.1

But instead, virtually every local business has seen their web traffic and incoming leads fall by more than 70% in the last 18 months.

In our matched research, the rate at which Google's first visible layer showed even one qualifying local business fell 74.8%. ChatGPT named a qualifying local business in fewer than 1 in 10 tested answers in either study period.2

Local business visibility trendVisibility drops from 90 percent in August 2024 to 18 percent in March 2026.90%Aug'2482%Dec'2467%Mar'2542%Aug'2527%Dec'2518%Mar'26

Then it happened to us.

Even the marketing agency I own wasn't immune. When our website traffic and incoming leads fell enough to hit our bottom line, I pulled our best players into a room and asked them to figure out what the hell was going on.

Here’s what they found... Without warning, Google and ChatGPT have rolled out their new AI-based algorithms, which caused nearly 8 in 10 local businesses to be erased from search results.3

Thankfully, we had the internal firepower to solve this. Using a proven tactic from Corporate America, we built a visibility engine that studies the new algorithms’ behaviors, then teaches them to recommend us.

Our site traffic grew. Lead volume recovered. Our growing reliance on paid ads started falling.

That's why we created Atlas.

Once we could breathe again, keeping that system to ourselves felt unthinkable. So we turned it into a managed visibility engine for local business owners and named it Atlas.

Along the way, we also built the Atlas Visibility Checkup. It clearly shows if Google and ChatGPT trust your business enough to recommend it.

We believe that local business owners shouldn't have to become AI specialists to protect what took you years to build. Instead, just like you trust your CPA to protect you from the IRS, our team does the same to protect you from being erased by the new AI-based algorithms.

I sincerely believe we've created something really special for other business leaders, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to do what we love.

It's our passion to help you succeed in yours.
